The USS S-16 (SS-121) is a historic submarine wreck located off the coast of Key West, Florida, resting at a depth of approximately 231 feet. Measuring 219 feet long and 21 feet wide, this offshore wreck serves as a unique structure for marine life and makes an intriguing fishing and diving destination.
Built by Lake Torpedo Boat Co. and launched in 1919, the S-16 served throughout the Pacific and Caribbean before being sunk by the U.S. Navy for experimental purposes on August 3, 1945.
