The Mimiva is a 355-ton cargo ship sunk in 1944 that now rests at a depth of 200 feet off Miami-Dade County. This deepwater artificial reef has become a prime destination for experienced offshore anglers and technical divers. It draws large predators such as amberjack, black grouper, and barracuda, along with schools of snapper and baitfish. The ship’s aged structure offers excellent relief and holding points, making it a top choice for deep drop techniques and serious gamefish action in the South Florida offshore scene.
