What Find Fishing Spots Is

Find Fishing Spots is a free informational resource. We publish fishing spot locations and GPS coordinates, fishing tournament information, and articles and guides about fishing. The site has no accounts, and nothing is sold through it.

Using the Site

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape or download the site's fishing spot data or other content in bulk, or republish it, without our permission.
• Use the site in a way that interferes with its operation or security.
• Send spam, false information or harmful content through our forms.
• Use the site for anything unlawful.

Fishing Spot and GPS Coordinate Information

Fishing spot listings, including GPS coordinates, depths, structure descriptions and other details, have been compiled from a variety of sources over time. Most listings have not been independently checked on the water by us. Information may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and we do not guarantee that any coordinates or spot details are correct.

Conditions change. Artificial reefs and wrecks can shift, break apart or be removed; channels, sandbars and bottom contours move; buoys and markers are relocated; and access to an area can change. A spot that was accurate when it was listed may not be accurate today.

GPS coordinates on this site are not for navigation and are not a substitute for official nautical charts, proper navigation equipment, sonar, local knowledge, safe boating practices or your own independent verification. You are responsible for verifying any location, and the route to it, before relying on it.

Safety Is Your Responsibility

Fishing and boating involve real risks. Before heading out, you are responsible for checking weather, tides, currents, sea conditions and water depth, and for watching for underwater hazards, submerged obstructions and other vessels. You are responsible for your vessel, equipment and safety gear, for following boating laws and navigation rules, and for deciding whether a trip or location is safe for you and your passengers.

Private Property and Restricted Areas

A location appearing on this site does not mean you are allowed to access or fish it. Some locations may be on or next to private property, or inside or near areas where access or fishing is restricted, such as protected marine areas, closed areas, security zones or places where local rules apply. It is your responsibility to know whether you are permitted to be somewhere and to respect property, access rules and posted signs.

Fishing Laws and Regulations

You are responsible for following all fishing laws and regulations that apply to you, including licensing, seasons, size limits, bag limits, gear restrictions and closed areas. Regulations vary by location and change frequently. Any regulation information on this site may be out of date, so always check current rules with the appropriate authorities, such as your state fish and wildlife agency or NOAA Fisheries for federal waters, before you fish.

Tournament Information

Tournament listings are compiled from organizers, public sources and submissions. Dates, locations, rules, fees, registration details and prizes can change, and tournaments can be postponed or cancelled. Always confirm tournament details, rules and registration directly with the tournament organizer.

We do not organize or run the tournaments listed on the site and do not handle tournament registration or payments. A tournament listing does not mean we endorse or are affiliated with that tournament or its organizer.

Articles and Guides

Articles, guides, species information, gear reviews and other editorial content are for general information only. They reflect our research and opinions at the time of writing and are not professional advice. Techniques, products and conditions change, so use your own judgment.

Submissions You Send Us

When you send us information through the site, such as a tournament submission, a contributor application, a correction or a message, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to use, edit, publish and display the content of your submission (for example, tournament details or a correction to a fishing spot) on the site and in connection with it. This does not include your personal contact information, which we handle as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not obligated to publish or use any submission, and submissions are not paid unless we have agreed otherwise with you separately.

Our Content

The site and its content, including text, photos, graphics, the Find Fishing Spots name and logo, and our compilation of fishing spot and tournament information, belong to Howe Media Group LLC or to those who have given us permission to use it. You are welcome to link to pages on the site and to share them. Please don't copy or republish our content without permission.

The site links to websites run by others, such as tournament organizers, government agencies and other sources. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
