The Berry Patch is a 155-foot steel freighter that was sunk on October 1, 1988, in 150 feet of water off Miami-Dade County. With 24 feet of vertical relief, the wreck provides excellent structure for large reef species and pelagic predators. Black grouper, amberjack, snapper, and schools of baitfish frequent the area, making it a hot spot for deep drop fishing or jigging. Due to its depth, this site is best suited for experienced anglers and divers. The Berry Patch stands as a reliable target for those seeking action in deeper offshore waters near Biscayne Bay.
